"I am very very prepared" He said.
*"He who takes blood will never go unpunished and the God we serve is a God of action. His action may be slow but He will never allow evil to take preeminence over his actions"*
~Governor Hope Uzodimma.

*"Those who think that it is by killing our people or intimidating them to vote against an innocent Governor who Killed nobody; - God will not allow them to have their way"* ~ Uzodimma.

*"When I hear those who created this spate of insecurity talk glibly about making the state safe again; How can somebody who wants to be governor; - the reason you want to be governor is because you want to make Imo safe again. So you are holding the safety? So why do you want to be governor before you release safety to your people?"*
~ Governor Uzodimma.

*"When the witch cries out in the night and the baby dies in the morning, we don't need to look far in seeking answers anymore"* ~Hope Uzodimma.

√:  We have convened this meeting as part of our interactive sessions. We assume that the invited people here today represent substantially what we can consider as Imo stakeholders both the political and non-political class.

√:  I am indeed very happy to welcome all of us to this special stakeholders meeting whose main purpose is to brief stakeholders and take advantage of the opportunity to introduce our deputy governorship candidate for the November 11th gubernatorial election. This is in line with our consolidation march to build a safer, more functional and more prosperous Imo State.

√:  I recall how we met Imo State in 2020, and this will enable us to appreciate where we are currently. This will also help us to dream and imagine the future of Imo State and what it will look like in the next 4 years. We have come here with a message of prosperity which we encapsulated into a mantra of reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery. Looking back on what I saw on ground from January 15th when I resume in 2020 - and seeing what is happening in Imo State now, I can beat my chest proudly and say that I made a difference.

√:  I kept the social contract I entered into with Imo people even though those who did not wish Imo State well; - who are responsible for the messy situation we met on the ground; - who were afraid and still are jittery about the difference we will make as a responsive government; - and who are responsible for the wasted years in Imo State - where everything broke down. Imo became a cemetery with the silence of the graveyard. We lost the civil service; - we lost all the roads;- all the hospitals were not working; schools were dilapidated, and as a matter of fact and according to the great man Chinua Achebe, "Things Fall Apart. And we came with the fear of God to recover Imo state and bring renewed hope to our people.

√:  They claim to be the opposition party - of course, there is no democracy anywhere in the world without opposition. We thought that they will constructively engage us, spur us into action if there is none, challenge us to function if we are not functioning;  challenge us to be transparent if we are not accountable for our commonwealth, or protecting our patrimony. They did not do that. They choose to disorganise the entire government and the entire Imo State. They took to killings  - unleashed violence on innocent people. The number of lives we lost in Imo State; - the number of properties that were destroyed;- houses that were burnt. Unfortunately 95% of those who died in the violence, the houses that were burnt belong to members of APC or those who are sympathetic to APC. Is that how to do opposition?

√:  You claim you are protecting the interest of the people; - you are chasing a government that came and condemned the idea of government taking people's land; Have I taken any people's land?
You are chasing a government that came and said we must be transparent and obey due process - Have I been accused of taking any money from the government? So what is their problem? why are they killing their brothers and sisters? If I want to kill, why would I kill my supporters? So are you talking to people without brains?

√:  You now want to come and contest the election to be a governor. You are not saying where the government has gone wrong; you are not saying that government did not work; You are not saying that government is not accountable and transparent. All you are saying is that you want to make Imo safe again because you have the remote control. You are responsible for the violence. When you switch off your remote control, violence will stop.

√:  I am very very prepared. I was talking with Hon. Jerry Alagboso on the phone. Honourable Jerry Alagboso has been in the National Assembly. Nobody attacked his house even at the height of violence in Imo State. Two weeks after he joined APC, his house was burnt down. So who is deceiving who?. One thing I can assure you; I know those who will never be governor of Imo State and I don't know who will be, but I am currently.

√:  We have successfully checkmated them. The indiscriminate burning of houses; the indiscriminate shooting and attacks on security officers. We are gradually bringing it to a halt. God has exposed most of the people behind the killings in Imo State and one thing that is very good and must be treasured is that despite their antics; despite all the intrigues and hidden processes they have adopted; - gradually God is exposing them one by one - because he who takes blood will never go unpunished and the God we serve is a God of action. His action may be slow but He will never allow evil to take preeminence over his actions.

√:  There will be free and fair election in Imo State and there will be an environment of peace. Those who think that it is by killing our people or intimidating them to vote against an innocent Governor who killed nobody; - God will not allow them to have their way. We should be emboldened by the fact that if not for anything, Imo State must recover and regain its pride of place in Nigeria. We are gradually bringing back life.

√:  When I hear those who created this spate of insecurity talk glibly about making the state safe again; How can somebody who wants to be governor; - the reason you want to be governor is because you want to make Imo safe again. So you are holding the safety? So why do you want to be governor before you release safety to your people?
I think that those who want to be governor should come out and tell us what they would do when they become the governor so that we look at what they promised they will do and see whether that will be a better business for us. But if you are not able to tell us for once why you want to be governor and the only reason you want to be governor is to make Imo safe again, that means those you are paying to kill, you will stop paying them. Why not stop paying them now, so we can have peace and then we may decide to vote for you? They are only confirming their earlier threat that they will make Imo State ungovernable for my government. When the witch cries out in the night and the baby dies in the morning, we don't need to look far in seeking answers anymore.

√:   Those who said that Imo State is now like Afghanistan; and yet they are going around campaigning. Nobody in their team has been attacked; nobody in their team has been molested; and they are saying Imo is not safe, yet they are in Imo State going around. Tell them to stop killing our people. We must tell them to stop killing our people.
I don't understand what someone gains  - what do you benefit from demarketing your State? Because when you create the impression that Imo is not safe, what you are saying is that outside investors and business people should not come to Imo. In other words, you are making them punish Imo people for no fault of theirs. Politics is not everything because at the end of governorship; you and I will still be in Imo State. We have no other state we can call our own apart from Imo State; so when you destroy Imo State, where are we going to stay or which state will we call our own?

√:  The only regret I have in all these, apart from those who lost their lives is that we are now compelled to spend humongous amount of money to manage security. These are monies that would have built more hospitals, build more schools, increase workers' pay, and create jobs for our people - the teeming youths; young men and women roaming the streets.
