IMO PDP EXCO DUMP ITS GOV CANDIDATE, SAYS HE IS BLOOD THIRSTY 
In what appears to be a  nightmarish birthday gift to the governorship candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the State working committee has dumped his candidature, describing him as a blood thirsty politician.

This was part of the bombshell dropped by the members of the State Working Committee (SWC),  of the parry in Owerri yesterday, after which they resigned enmasse. 

At a press conference on Sunday in Owerri, the SWC of PDP declared that Senator Samuel Anyanwu who is also the national secretary of the party cannot lead them to victory in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Those who signed the statement are, Sir Martins Ejiogu, state deputy national chairman, Hon Nze Ray Emeana, state Secretary, Comrade, Greg G.O.C Nwadike, State Youth Leader, Collins Opuruzo,State  Publicity secretary, Hon Chief  Mrs. Maria Mbakwe,State  woman leader, Barr. Joseph Eze, State treasurer, and Barr. Chibuisi Obido,State Vice Chairman, Orlu zone.

" In the 2023 elections,we made a very poor showing simply because Senator Anyanwu directed his loyalists to mobilize and work against the party and our candidates at all levels in the state, they submitted.

They also accused the Governorship candidate of PDP of engaging in violence against PDP members all in the bid to take absolute control of the PDP in the state.

They wondered how a man whose campaign slogan is to make Imo safe again is the same person  unleashing violence on innocent party supporters.

According to them, " How can a man who says he wants to make Imo safe again be caught openly aiding and abetting acts of violence and insecurity even against his own party members? That certainly says a lot about the Senator and his age long known penchant for violence".

They said such a man cannot lead PDP to victory, hence their decision to resign enmasse as" the PDP in Imo State has now been damaged beyond redemption by the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy)and the party is at last moving irreversibly to its terminus"

The swc members regretted that since the emergence of Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the PDP candidate, everything about the party has been downgraded.



According to them, neither the rent for the state Secretariat nor staff salaries have been paid while ordinary members of the party are being hounded and visited with violence by thugs allegedly employed by the PDP candidate. 

They said they could no longer tolerate the violence and excesses of Senator Samuel Anyanwu, hence their decision to resign and dump PDP,.

" In view of the foregoing and many other shocking discoveries which will soon be made public,we the undersigned members of Imo State Working Committee of the PDP, have decided to resign our various positions in the party and dump the party enmasse" they affirmed
