Gov. Uzodimma's Giant Strides On Flood Control In Owerri.

Giant Strides of Uzodinma's administration on roads and drainage construction. 

In May 2020, the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma began constructing in Owerri, a world class underground drainage, the first of it's kind in the entire South East Zone of Nigeria.
 The massive project covers Owerri Municipal and more particularly the Federal Housing Estate of Aladinma, the Prefab estate, Relief market area, and Federal Housing Estate, Egbu near the Shoprite supermarket, Owerri. 

 This landmark project will see all the flood waters from major roads in the capital namely, Wetheral road,  Okigwe road,  Douglas road and Lake Nwaebere channeled into this project subseqently. 
The total disilting of the surface drainage and manholes in the Capital city nearing completion, will present a brand new flood free city reminiscent of the days of former governor Chief Sam Mbakwe .
