Adviser To Imo Governor On Public Safety Visits Fire Service Owerri

The Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Public Safety, Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nzekwe yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Fire Service, Owerri.
The visit was in continuation of his tour of public establishments in the state to drum support, and partnership in order to secure the lives and properties of Imo citizens.
While conducting Hon. Nzekwe round the premises, the Director in charge of the outfit spoke of the deplorable condition of their infrastructures and lamented that they have only one tanker and one fire fighting truck. 
According to the fire service director, previous governments in the state had neglected to assist with the upgrade and modernization of the facilities.

In his response, Hon. Prince Nzekwe stated that the purpose of his visit is to create a working relationship between his public safety office and the fire service in the areas of rescue, fire prevention, mitigation, fire fighting as well as paramedical and information services.
While reiterating the importance of the fire service to the public safety of Imo citizens, Hon. Nzekwe pledged to bring government attention to their plight.
